We now have an "offical" time line to form the Canadian Connemara Pony Society
December 2004 - list of a Connemara Ponies in Canada that are registered with the ACPS or CLRC general stud book. March 31/05 - compliance/details of requirements of CLRC and their agreement June 2005 - draft of bylaws. September 2005 - Confirmation of positions of the Board. January 1, 2006 - Final formation of Canadian Connemara Pony Society. Registrations: Chris Carey has volunteered to assemble a list. She will require registration #, sex, age, & Sire/Dam, at least. Upon incorporation, we have a year to develop the bylaws, of governance and registration. We will be looking at the ICCPS and other society bylaws for guidelines. Inspections are an important part of the Society. There are many questions, & we will be looking at other systems for information. Awards will need to be developed Nationally. Presently there are award programs for the Western Canada Connemara Association that will likely be a template for National Awards." |
