Lovely Lormount
1964 dark bay 13.1 h mare by Macdara out of Lormount (Dun Lorenzo)
Bred by James B Joyce in Co. Galway she was imported to Montana by Dr. O'Halloran and subsequently bought by Doris Jacobi when he was dispersing his herd. She was a beautiful example of 'old fashioned' Connemara traits, with sturdy bone and balanced conformation.

Bred by Lady Susan de Vesci in Ireland she was imported to the US and her last home was with Louise Jolicouer in Quebec. She only produced 5 purebred foals but she can be seen in the pedigree of some of the most successful bloodlines in Ireland, Europe and North America.

Dale Haze, Stallion by Tully Grey. Exported from Ireland to Sweden. Sired the well known, Hazy Dawn, a very influential stallion.

Bred by Catherine Mack in Virginia and bought by Margot Watson as a 10 year old to be her foundation mare and wonderful mount for her daughter.

1995 seal brown 13.1 premium mare by Kirtling Tam O'Shanter and out of Hobbans Lark (Hobbans Puffin).
Bred by Carol Prentice in England and imported to Canada by Heather Sherratt as a 2yr old. She produced 13 foals when bred to Maplehurst Michael MacDaire. All quite similar and doing a stellar job of promoting the breed. Abby is the epitome of the connemara mare and has played an importat role in the North American breeding program.

Elphin Song Sparrow. inspected as a stallion and sired several foals but later gelded. Now a performance pony.

Kelpie was bred by Penny Huggons of Rill Connemaras where she was a foundation broodmare and also became a foundation mare for Alexis Soltice of Centreview Connemaras.
A kind, bold and friendly mare with good maternal instincts, she produces strong healthy foals that are easy to handle. She is of lovely connemara type with 8" of bone. She has been bred to 4 different stallions but consistently stamps her foals with her type and temperament.

Cassie was bred by Lorre Garland in Washington, U.S.A. and purchased by Elodon Connemaras where she has been one of their best producing broodmares. Cassie is an exceptionally sweet and gentle mare – even for a Connemara. Other excellent qualities she passes along to her foals are her correct limbs, clean throatlatch, smooth neck to shoulder connection and well defined withers. Two of her daughters, Elodon Riona and Elodon Dara, were inspected and approved by the CCPS in 2016. Cassie's legacy isn't limited to her offspring; she was one of many ponies whose genetic and pedigree data was used by UC Davis during the development of the commercial test for HWSD.
